A more intentional way to find something to watch.
NextUp brings movie and TV discovery into one web application. It combines search and filtering with useful title details, ratings, release information, cast information, watchlists, user preferences, and personalized recommendations.
The project was developed collaboratively with other students as part of a university computer science practicum.
The problem
Discovery can become a lot of scrolling.
Finding a movie or show often means moving between search results, disconnected details, and remembered preferences. NextUp explores how one focused experience can make discovery easier to navigate.

The team designed and developed an application that connects discovery, title information, authentication, preferences, and recommendations. The result is a shared project demonstrating full-stack web application concepts and collaborative software development.
